About this Event:

This is a mentored pheasant hunt for ages 10- 18. Participants will start the day on the shotgun range, learning how to use the shotguns, and then go into the field to hunt with mentors. Participants will learn how to properly handle and shoot a shotgun, safely hunt for pheasants, and clean and process pheasants. Shooting exercises will be held at the Goshen County Sportsmans Club, and then participants will head to Springer/Bump Sulivan Wildlife Habitat Management Area for the hunt. Parents will need to be there to transport their kids. To participate, you must have completed hunter education and possess a game bird license, conservation stamp, and pheasant stamp. About the Program

Overview:

WY Hunt Fish programs are run by non-profit partners of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department with the support of the department.
WY Hunt Fish programs teach participants how to hunt and fish in an engaging environment. Programs focus on mentored experiences for participants allowing them to learn in the field in a small group setting. NGO partners run these programs by meeting the Wyoming Game and Fish Department standards and qualify as WY Hunt Fish events.
